Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden
Throughout his career, Kevin Hayden has dedicated himself to public service and the pursuit of justice.
Hayden grew up in Boston and attended Noble and Greenough High School, where he was accepted into Dartmouth University. After graduating with a B.A. in English, he attended Boston University Law School.
Straight from law school, he started in the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office (SCDAO), serving as an assistant district attorney for over a decade. During his time, he was the Chief of the Safe Neighborhood Initiative and worked in the Gang Unit, Homicide Response Team, and the Juvenile Unit.
After 11 years in the SCDAO, he moved to a private practice with Dhar Law, gaining a senior associate position. He also served as an advocate for the Committee for Public Counsel Services.
Ultimately recognizing his true passion, he returned to public service, where he led the state Sex Offender Registry Board. He served as the board’s chairman for six years.
After the resignation of former Suffolk County District Attorney Rachel Rollins, Governor Baker appointed Hayden as the District Attorney for Suffolk County.
