Massachusetts District Court Judge David E. Frank
David E. Frank was appointed a Massachusetts District Court Judge in 2014 by former Governor Deval Patrick. Judge Frank graduated from Washington University, St. Louis, with a Bachelor’s degree in political science. He later completed his J.D. at Boston University School of Law in 1997. Judge Frank’s career began at Launie & Howard where he served as a staff attorney. In 1998, he joined the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office as an assistant district attorney. Four years later, he joined the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office in the gang unit. While there, Judge Frank prosecuted many cases of varying types, including home invasion, manslaughter, and drug trafficking. In 2005, Frank became a sole practitioner and also served as a managing editor for newspaper “Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly.” He was also a co-host of “Sports Court” which was a radio show that focused on legal issues regarding the world of sports. Judge Frank now serves as a Massachusetts District Court Judge, managing cases from towns all around Massachusetts including Cambridge, Malden, and Lynn. Although he was born in Boston, Judge Frank currently resides in Wayland with his family. In his personal life outside of court, he attends Temple Shir Tikva and volunteers as a coach for Wayland Youth Soccer League. Judge Frank also is a long-distance runner who has completed twenty-two total marathons.
