Committee for Public Counsel Services Chief Counsel Anthony Benedetti ’83

The Committee for Public Counsel Services ensures just legal representation for all. As leader of CPCS, Chief Counsel Anthony Benedetti ‘83 uses his managerial role to guarantee that all CPCS attorneys represent their clients to the best of their abilities.
After graduating from Boston College with degrees in political science and government and furthering his education at Suffolk University Law School, Benedetti first pursued his passion for public service in the Massachusetts State House. Then, he began practicing as a trial lawyer for the CPCS Brockton office, representing clients in the Plymouth County District. A passionate attorney, Benedetti seeks to understand each client beyond their case. He aims for CPCS to push this mission forward as well. Benedetti became General Counsel in 1998 and Chief Counsel in 2010 — the position he currently holds.
Benedetti’s fight for social justice isn’t confined to Boston. On the national scale, Benedetti is also a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the National Legal Aid and Defender Association (NLADA), and the National Association for Public Defense.
