Roan is a lifelong resident of the South End who has a deep commitment to public service and community engagement.
Throughout high school, his interests in communication and justice called him to serve his peers at Boston Latin School. As captain of the Speech & Debate team and president of Model UN, he not only led peers to national recognition but also organized statewide conferences, bringing students together to practice the values of dialogue, diplomacy, and equity that are often lost in the civic discourse.
This summer, Roan will be working with Superior Court Judge Cathleen Campbell, where he looks forward to gaining a deeper understanding of the Massachusetts court system and how it can be used to uphold rights and redress injustices.
