Laetitia Jean is a rising senior at Boston Latin School. She was born and raised in Haiti and brings a strong sense of community to everything she’s involved in. At school, she helps out in the main office, lending a hand with daily tasks. She’s also part of the Best Buddies Club, where she helps build friendships and promotes inclusion. She also plays in the BLS band, sharing her love for music with the school.
Beyond the classroom, Laetitia works at a nonprofit organization, where she continues to explore her passion for advocacy and justice. Her interest in law deepened last summer as a Deitch fellow at the Committee for Public Counsel Services (CPCS), where she had the unique opportunity to observe defense attorneys in action and attend court trials. This first hand exposure to the courtroom inspired Laetitia to pursue a future in the legal field.
Through the Ward Fellowship, Laetitia will be interning with the U.S. District Judge Patti Saris. She hopes to gain insight into the inner workings of the judicial branch.
