Hannah Stoll is a rising senior at Boston Latin School. They were born in Brooklyn, New York, but moved to Boston when they were six. Since then, they have lived in West Roxbury, and have grown into a proud Bostonian.

From reading the newspapers each morning since they were in fourth grade (they are now Editor-in-Chief of their school newspaper) to lively debates over politics and the news, learning about the history of our country has always fascinated them, but most specifically, they enjoyed making connections between the past and the present.

Hannah is passionate about organizing and community building, specifically surrounding environmental justice and gun violence prevention, and about listening to and uplifting people’s stories. They are the president of their school’s climate club, and are the director of Equity and Inclusion at the national Jewish Youth Climate movement. In addition, they work on gun violence prevention with March For Our Lives, and have organized and spoken at various rallies and protests, as well as helping to launch and lead a national volunteer team.

For Hannah, the Ward Fellowship is an opportunity to pursue these interests they have held from a young age and learn more about public policy and political negotiations, and the way that they directly influence real people.
