Dimitra Minasidis is a rising senior at Boston Latin School. She was born in Boston and grew up in West Roxbury.
Dimitra is a first generation American citizen, born to Greek immigrant parents. As such, she is an active member in the Greek community, and is heavily interested in aiding underrepresented and under-resourced communities. This passion was fostered in her junior year United States History class and as President of her church’s Greek Orthodox Youth Association.
After watching documentaries on systemic issues that plague certain neighborhoods and people, such as the war on drugs and minimum wage policies, Dimitra aspires to advocate for positive change and fair trials. She has already worked on this first goal with the Greek Orthodox Youth Association, using community service to educate both the youth and the adults and to better local communities. She is excited to build on the second goal as a Ward Fellow working at the Public Defender’s Office under CPCS Chair Anthony Benedetti.
