Jose Mari Antonio is a rising senior at Boston Latin School and a William J. Ward Public Service Fellow. Born in the Philippines and raised in Boston, Jose is passionate about public service, civic engagement, and creating opportunities for young people in his community.
His interest in government and public policy has grown through experiences in law, urban planning, and international affairs. Through the Supreme Court Historical Society’s My Supreme Court and Hometown program, he explored the role of the judiciary through case analysis and moot court. As an intern with the Sasaki Foundation, he developed a community-focused design proposal for the Allston neighborhood. He has also participated in Model United Nations, where he engaged in discussions on global issues and public policy solutions.
Beyond the classroom, Jose serves as Captain of the Boston Latin School Varsity Crew team and is the co-founder and co-president of Futures Forward, a student-led organization that helps students explore college and career pathways. He was a Curatorial Fellow at the Museum of Fine Arts and as a social media intern for Khan Academy Philippines, experiences that deepened his interest in education, community engagement, and public impact.
As a Ward Fellow working with Massachusetts Superior Court Judge Cathi Campbell, Jose looks forward to gaining a deeper understanding of the legal system and exploring how public institutions can advance justice, civic participation, and opportunity.
