Benedicte Pierre Louis is a rising senior at Boston Latin School. She was born and raised in Dorchester, MA, but her family hails from Haiti.
Throughout the duration of the school year, Pierre Louis is a three season athlete. She participates in Wolfpack cheerleading during the fall sports season and shows her BLS pride during football games, rain or shine. During the winter and spring season, she is a member of the varsity track team, dating back to the spring of her 9th grade year in 2022. Not only is she active on the field, but in school, Pierre Louis is her senior class Vice President and has been an officer of CRU BLS, a Christian organization, since her 8th grade year. She demonstrates how to utilize every opportunity given to her in order to accumulate a higher skill level.
Benedicte found comfort in regularly volunteering at her local dance studio on the weekends, but strived to broaden her understanding of what it meant to be a public servant. When applying to the Ward Fellowship, she questioned the valves of self-confidence, community building, and integrity. She made it her goal to participate in the program not just for the work experience, but to be able to witness the real life actions of current public servants and how their contributions are helping to improve the lives of others.
