Jack McCarthy grew up in Roslindale, where he attended Catholic school for several years before joining the Boston Latin School Class of 1976.  After graduating from Boston Latin School and Boston College, he attended Suffolk University Law School, earning a Juris Doctor degree, and was admitted to the bar in 1988. Before joining the MSBA, Jack worked at the Inspector General’s office, and was also Chief of Staff at the Office of Secretary of the Commonwealth. On January 25, 2012, Jack McCarthy was appointed the Executive Director of Massachusetts School Building Authority, where works with educational leaders to fund school building projects throughout Massachusetts and will continue to support the development of modern, accessible, and environmentally conscious buildings that serve as valuable resources for countless Massachusetts communities. Additionally, he has a passion for increasing equitable opportunity and reducing corruption within government agencies. Jack currently resides in Norwood with his wife Linda and two daughters Kristen and Megan.
