Patrick Anthony Leeman was born in Boston on the date of his namesake, Saint Patrick’s Day, March 17, 1984 to Anne and Joseph Leeman. He was raised in South Boston and received a double promotion from second to fourth grade, a decision that he does not regret today. Patrick spent most of his childhood at the South Boston Boys & Girls Club where he participated in sports and many activities that helped to broaden his horizons. Patrick also worked at the club after school for three years and was awarded Youth of The Year 2001. He is a role model to both his younger brother Joseph, 15, and his sister Stephany, 10. Patrick, now 17, has recently graduated from Boston Latin School and will attend Boston College in the fall intending to major in Classics. He was able to excel at Boston Latin School despite his young age and deep involvement at the South Boston Boys & Girls Club. Patrick truly enjoys meeting new people and spending time with his family. While he is still unsure of his career, the Ward Fellowship has brought about a keen new interest in politics and law. His sponsor this summer is Boston City Councilor At-Large Stephen J. Murphy.
